Do you want to learn how to make flower arrangements on a friendly budget?
Flower arrangement can be so expensive, but they are not so complicated to do. A year ago, I decided to do these flower arrangements for my daughter’s baptism and they came out so beautiful and were inexpensive to do.
Here are the steps to do these flower arrangements for either a Rustic Wedding, Baptism, Baby Shower or just to gift them to someone special.
Disclaimer, I am not a professional florists, I am just a mom looking for ways to cut expenses and enjoying the process.
These are the items I used to make these arrangements
Things you need for the flower vase:
16 oz Mason Jar – $14.99 at Michaels
Twine String Cord – $5.99 in Amazon
1 1/2 Wired Ribbon – $3.99 at Michaels
2 1/2 Lace Ribbon -$4.99 at Michaels
Hot Glue Gun – $4.27 in Amazon
Flowers used:
You can use any flowers you want. Please note that the prices for the flowers might vary depending on your location.
6 dozens of Roses – $45 (I bought them from a local distributed and received a pretty good price)
3 package of Hydrangeas – $12 (Each package has 3 Hydrangeas)
3 packages of Greenery – $12
3 package of Baby’s Breath – $12
Steps to decorate mason jar:
If you are planning on making a lot of arrangement I suggest you pre-cut your ribbons and the twine cord and decide where do you want to glue the lace ribbon. I choose the middle of the mason jar
- Hot glue the lace ribbon and let it dry for a few seconds
- Hot glue the wired ribbon on top of the lace ribbon
- Wrap the twine cord around the mason jar and make a bow
- If you want you can spray paint the lid, which is what I did with mine. I used rose gold spray paint. Take the lids from the mason jar and spray paint them in the patio.
Steps to make the arrangement:
- Cut the flowers to your desire length and make sure they look good inside the mason jar. To make it easier, I did one arrangement first and then used it as an example to do the other ones
- I put the Hydrangeas first in the mason jar and start arranging the roses around the mason jar to make the arrangement look fuller with a lot of roses
- I used the baby’s breath and the greenery as filler. I put them to the side of the arrangement
- I used twine cord and wrapped it around the stems to secure the position I wanted all the flowers to be
And then you are done! You will have beautiful flower arrangement for your guests to enjoy!
